Jacob F. Janzen (1840-1912) was born in Rudnerweide, Molotschna, South Russia. He married Susanna Baerg 29 October 1863. At the age of 39, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and six children. The family settled in Cottonwood Co., Minnesota and had three more children. Descendants lived primarily in Minnesota, Kansas, California, parts of Canada and elsewhere.

Philip Jacob Orth (1814-1879) married Catherine Trockenbrod in 1838, and immigrated from Germany to Waterloo County, Ontario in 1846. John Nickel (1728-1774) was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, near Gortin. In 1749 he bought a plantation in Augusta County Virginia. He married Barbara McCombe, the daughter of Rebekah Young McCombe, and they had seven children: John, Thomas, Joseph, Isaac, Robert, Andrew and Elizabeth. His six sons served the cause of American Independence in the Revolution.

Johann Toevs (1836-1913), son of Dutch immigrants to Russia Heinrich Toews and Helena Janzen, immigrated from Russia to land near Woodbine, Kansas in 1874. Two of his brothers and one sister later immigrated to join him. Descendants (most used Toews, some used Toevs as surnames) lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Oregon, California and elsewhere.

Benjamin Nikkel (1813-1913) was born in Chortitza, southern Russia and died in Ebenfeld, Kansas. He married three times. By 1876, many families emigrated from Russia. Some went to Australia and Canada, while Benjamin's family immigrated to Marion County, Kansas. John Heinrich Schmidt was born 9 April 1804 in Langenaubach, Nassau, Germany. He married Catharina Elisabeth Schmitt 7 February 1830 in Haiger, Germany. They had eight children. They emigrated in 1852 and settled in Wisconsin. Johann died in 1874 in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Switzerland, England, Wisconsin and Illinois.
