Research regarding the Odell families of the United States. Founding ancestor, William Odell, emigrated from Buckingham, England to America between 1637-1639 and settled in Concord, Massachusetts. The pioneer of the western Missouri Odells was Jeremiah, son of Samuel. He married Elizabeth Gregory in 1818 in Tennessee and they moved to Missouri the following year. Jeremiah Odell died in 1884. William Odell was the immigrant ancestor, who came from England in 1639 and was one of the first settlers in Concord, Massachusetts. Austin Odell (ca.1665-1740) immigrated from England to Westerl , Rhode Island in the late 1600s. Descendants lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the midwest and elsewhere.
