Research regarding the Odell families of the United States. Founding ancestor, William Odell, emigrated from Buckingham, England to America between 1637-1639 and settled in Concord, Massachusetts. His parents were Richard and Martha Odell. He married (1) Rebecca? in England and they had two children. He married (2) Anne and they had three children.

Ludwig Bützow was born in Presek, Germany in 1763. He married Maria Elisabeth Jalass. They settled in Vorbeck near Schwann. Two of their children and ten of their grandchildren immigrated to the United States. They are the common ancestors of all the Bützows in this volume. The families settled in South Dakota, Illinois, Washington, Wisconsin and elsewhere.

Phillip Wagner, Sr. was born in 1726 near Kaiserslautern, Germany. He and his wife emigrated in 1754 and settled in Rockingham County, Virginia. They had at least one son, Phillip, Jr. (1755-1827). He married Margaret Andrews in 1777. They had thirteen children. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma and elsewhere.

Peter Moore Sutterfield (b.1775/76) is the patriarch of all Sutterfields in Searcy Co., Arkansas. He married Mary Rogers in 1801 in Laurens Co., SC. They moved to Tennessee and were settled in Giles Co. by 1812. They were parents to seven children. By 1840, the entire family was located in Wayne Co., TN.
