Description
John Porter (1590-1648), the founder of Windsor, Connecticut, was born at Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England, the son of John and Sybil Vessay Porter. He married Ann White in 1620 at Messing, Essex, England. They had eleven children 1621-1642. The family settled in Connecticut Valley in 1639. Descendants listed, chiefly some descendants to the fourth generation only, lived in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
