Thomas Owsley/Ousley/Osley/Ouseley/Housley (1658-1700) was one of 12 children of Rev. John and Dorothy Poyntz Owsley of Glooston, Leichestershire, England. Thomas served in the military and was sent to Jamaica. He later settled in Stafford Co., Va. where he married Ann Harris. Descendants of their five children lived throughout the United States and some emigrated to Canada.

Francis Wafer (1706-1823) was born in Ireland and immigrated to America at a young age. In about 1748 he married Mary McGoffin. They eventually moved to Craven County, North Carolina and later South Carolina. They became the parents of three or four children. Thomas Owsley/Ousley/Ouseley/Housley (ca. 1658-1700) was the son of Rev. John Owsley of Glooston, Northans., Eng. He married Ann Harris who was a descendant of Capt. Newdigate Poyntz and Sarah Foxley. They both died in Virginia. Descendants lived in Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, Texas and elsewhere. Includes some ancestry in England.

Burton Cooper (1805-1875) was born in Tennessee. In about in 1824 he married Mary Elvira Burgess (1802-1887), daughter of John and Ruth Burgess. In 1829 they sold their land in Marion Co., Tennessee, and moved to Gasconade County, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived in Missouri, Virginia, Oklahoma, Oregon, Iowa, and elsewhere.

William J. Hicks was born 28 March 1820 in Tazewell County, Virginia. He married Oma or Naomi Reffitt in 1844. They had ten children. He died 3 February 1877 in Brush Creek, Hippo, Kentucky. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.

Henrich Geck or Henry Keck, Sr. (d. 1786) emigrated from Germany and settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in 1732. He served in the Revolutionary War. His great grandson, John "Guider" Keck (1823-1908), was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee, the son of John and Ann Ousley Keck. He married Rebecca Yaden, daughter of Jacob and Rachel Capps Yaden, in 1843. They had eleven children, 1844-1866. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, and elsewhere.
