John Henry Lloyd was born 27 July 1825 in West Bloomfield, New York. He married Elizabeth A. Pettengill 26 March 1876. They had two sons, John Marvin and George. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York and Pennsylvania.

Jasper Griffing (ca. 1648-1718), a native of Wales, was living in Essex County, Massachusetts, by 1670 and at Marblehead, Massachusetts, in 1674. He and his wife, Hannah (ca. 1652-1699), migrated to Southold, Long Island, ca. 1675. They had five children, ca. 1675-1685. Descendants lived in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Nebraska and elsewhere.

Samuel Boreman (1615-1673) was born at Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, the son of Christopher and Julian Carter Boreman. His family moved to Claydon, Oxfordshire, ca. 1619.
