Thomas Parris (ca.1625-1678) emigrated from London to Barbados about 1660/1670. One of his sons, Samuel Parris (1653-1720), was born in London and immigrated to Salem, Massachusetts, later moving to Sudbury, Massachusetts. Another of Thomas' sons, Alexander Parris (ca.1661/1671-1735), was probably born on Barbados and immigrated to South Carolina during or before 1695. Descendants of the two brothers lived in most of the United States.
