Harmen Alland was born in about 1540 in Edesheim, Hanover, Germany. His descendant, Johann Heinrich Alland was born in Edesheim 18 June 1795. He married Marie Justine Otto in 1820. They had four children. They emigrated in 1831 and settled in Maryland. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Maryland, Indiana, Ohio and Texas.
