Genealogy of two brothers, Jeremiah (ca. 1735-1820) and Sullivan Pearson (1735-1797). Jeremiah Pearson died in Jones Co., Ga. He was listed in Onslow Co. Regt. for Revolutionary War along with Sullivan Pearson. He was married to Mary E. Williams in Jones Co., Ga. He lived in various places in South Carolina, and was probably born in North Carolina. Sullivan Pearson was married to Elizabeth Williams. He died in Rockingham Co., N.C.

John Pearson Bewley (1826-1880) married Jane Patterson Jane Patterson in 1858, and they immigrated from England to Australia and then to New Zealand. Not finding what they wished, they returned to England and then immigrated to land near Berwyn, Maryland in 1875/ 1876. Descendants lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. There were a number of Whitings who eventually immigrated to America from England. The earliest known Whiting to immigrate to America was James Whiting who came to Virginia in 1617. James was born in England in 1609. He married Ann, who was probably also English. Their son was Henry. Descendants also lived in New York, California, Indiana, Tennessee, and other areas.

John Martindell (1676-1750), a Quaker, emigrated in 1684 from England to Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, before 1700. He married Mary Bridgman, daughter of Walter and Blanche Constable Bridgman, in 1705. They had seven children, 1707-1723. He died in 1750. Descendants of their sons, John Martindale (b. 1719) and William Martindale (1723-1808), lived in South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Texas, and elsewhere.
