Ewell Petty, son of Micajah Petty and Elizabeth, was born in 1803. He married Elizabeth Pearson Petty in 1825. They had two children. He married Elizabeth Curry in 1831. They had six children. James Holton was born 21 June 1830 in Tingwick, Buckinghamshire, England. His parents were James Holton and Marriah Bale. He married Mary Ann Crumb (1838-1878), daughter of Arnold Crumb and Martha, 24 January 1856. They had ten children. He married Abby Ellen Benson in 1878. He died 18 March 1917 In Pennsylvania. Includes a transcription of Joseph T. Holton's journal and the Civil War memoirs of Philip Petty.
