The Zeutzius family originated in Germany. The earliest known ancestor was Phillipp Zeutzius (1708-1782) of Oestrich, Germany. He was the father of eight children. One of his descendants, Caspar Zeutzius (1810-1894) immigrated to America and settled in Green Bay, Wisconsin where he married Barbara Barthel. They were the parents of six children.
