Description
William Allin was born in Devon, England in 1807. He married Susan Banbury and they came to America about 1835. They first settled in Ohio and later Iowa where they raised their ten children. After William's death the family moved to California. Information on many of their ancestral lines is given in this collection. Materials are traced back into Devon England. (George) Peter Punches (ca. 1785-after 1860) and Margaret Hager (ca. 1790-after 1860), both natives of Pennsylvania, were married in Pickaway County, Ohio, in 1811. They had seven children, ca. 1812-1836. They both died at Vanlue, Ohio.

Brison Martin was born in Indiana in 1895. He married Chloe Inez Kipfer and they were the parents of ten children. They lived their entire lives in northern Indiana. Johann Nickel (Nicholas) Pontius (1728-ca.1794), son of Johann Pontius (1685-1736) and Anna Rosina Hauch, was born in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. He emigrated from Germany in 1738 and settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He married Anna M. Shuey in about 1749. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Indiana.

William Allin (1807-1880) married Mary Susan Banbury in 1833, and in 1835 they emigrated from Devonshire in England to land in Howard Township, Knox County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived in Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, California and elsewhere. Other Allin families immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. Includes many Allin families and genealogical data in Devonshire, England to the 1500s.

Johannes (John) Huber immigrated from Switzerland to Pennsylvania in 1728 or 1732 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His son, John Hoover (d. 1804) married Mary Watson and moved to Hagerstown, Maryland. Some descendants moved to the midwest and elsewhere.

Kaspar (Casper) Bernhardt (ca. 1719-1790), his wife, Maria, and four children, emigrated from Baden in 1764 and settled in Limerick Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and elsewhere trought the United States. Descendants spell their name Barnhart.
