William Joel Worlton was born 13 August 1899 in Morgan, Utah. He was a descendant of James Timbrell Worlton who was born 20 March 1821 in Somerset, England, became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and settled with the Latter-day Saint pioneers in Utah. William married Elsie Mary Bean 10 June 1915. They lived in Utah and were the parents of five known children. Descendants lived primarily in Utah.

Byron Porter was born 4 March 1873 in Porterville, Morgan, Utah. His parents were Lyman Wight Porter and Electa Mariah Kilbourn. He married Elizabeth Robinson (1875-1965), daughter of Joseph Elijah Robinson and Mary Elizabeth Clark, 14 September 1904 in Salt Lake City. They had seven children.
