Marion Devalson Allen was born 17 Oct 1883 to Rufus Albern Allen and Sarah Higgins, at Kingston, Utah. He married 15 June 1904 Laura Priscilla Porter, daughter of Francis Lysander Porter and Laura Melvina Carling. Laura Priscilla was born 21 Sep 1883 at Orderville, Utah. Marion Devalson Allen died 1 Oct 1979 and Laura Priscilla died 1 Sep 1972. Descendants have lived mostly in Utah.

John Esplin (1828-1895) joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and left Scotland for Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Margaret Webster in 1853.
