Thomas Dorman (1600-1670) was born in England and immigrated to America in about 1634. He settled first in Ipswich, Massachusetts and later moved to Topsfield. He was the father of three children, John Dorman (1637-1661), Thomas Dorman (1640-1715) and Ephraim Dorman (1645-1721). Descendants live in Massachusetts, Maine, New York and other parts of the United States.

James Longmire was born 17 March 1820 in Bono, Vermillion, Indiana. His parents were George Longmire and Sarah Haynes. He married Susannah Nizely (1821-1847) 4 March 1843 and they had two sons. He married Virinda Taylor (1830-1912) 4 December 1848. They had nine children. They moved to Washington in 1853 and settled in Yelm. Descendants lived mainly in Washington and Oregon.
