Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the blacksmith, Valentine Prentice (ca. 1598-1633) of Essex (England). He immigrated to America with his wife, Alice and their children. They settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts in 1631. Some descendants moved into Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Vermont in the 1700's. Later families also lived in Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.

Chiefly a record of the descendants of Anna Evelyn Aasten. She was born 14 Apr 1918 to Karen Marie Jansen and John Gunnefsen Aasten. She married Hugh Cameron Prentice, Jr. Jan 1941. He was born 3 May 1915 in Alberta, Canada and died 7 Mar 1985 in Seattle, Washington. They were divorced in 1972. They were the parents of four children. Descendants live mostly in Washington state.

William Prentis (1514-1574) is the first traceable ancestor of the Prentice family. He was from Essex, England and was the father of 7 children. Valentine Prentice (1598?-1633) was the great-grandson of William. He was the first of the Prentices to come to America. He and his wife, Alice Bredda, had at least 3 children. They settled in Boston and later generations settled in Connecticut. Descendants live throughout the United States.
