Descendants of John Henry Pressler (1843-1904) born in Germany, lived in or near Riga, Latvia. At least one son, Eugene, was born there in 1874. There were two Pressler/Bressler families which emigrated from Niederhochstadt/Pfalz in 1749 to Pennsylvania. While the family of Hans Georg Pressler sttled in Berbs County, the family of Hans Valentin Pressler settled among the Mennonites in Lancaster County. The family was prominent in Lancaster County for several generations. Descendants live in Pennsylvania.

In 1749 two Pressler families immigrated to Pennsylvania from Niederhochstadt/Pfalz. The family of Hans Georg Pressler settled in Berks County while the family of Hans Veltin Pressler settled in Lancaster County. Hans Georg and Eva Maagdalena Pressler were the parents of six children. One of the sons, Johann Georg Simon Pressler and his wife, Ann Barbara were the parents of seven children. Descendants live in Pennsylvania.

Johann Adam Eckmann (b.1795) and his family emigrated from Germany to Kassel, Russia. Frederick Eckman (1859-1948), a grandson, married Christina Harr in 1887, and emigrated from Russia to Zeeland, North Dakota in 1894, moving to Burnstad, North Dakota in 1896. Arthur Levi Haines (1905-1968) married Evelyn Marie Bair in 1926. Traces the descendants of their earliest known Haines and Bair ancestors. Anthony Haines (Heintz) immigrated to America from Germany in the 1730s. He married Apollonia Walters and Susannah and had nine children. Philip Weaver was born in Pennsylvania to Adam and Anna Marie Stover Weaver. He married Elizabeth Smith, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Scaddon Smith. Around 1818/1820 he came to Ohio with his parents, his wife and her parents. Philip and Elizabeth had 7 children. Philip died in 1840 while his wife died around 1851.
