Stephen Pridgen was born in North Carolina, son of Moses and Mariah Pridgen. Moses moved to Georgia ca. 1835 and then Dale County, Alabama ca. 1841. Stephen married Martha Sanders (1831-1906). Family members lived in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and elsewhere.

Simon Bright was born in Craven County, North Carolina, before 1700 and died there in 1777. He married Mary Graves, daughter of Richard and Sarah Turner Graves, in 1730. They had six children. He did marry (3) Mourning Thomas, widow of Joseph Thomas, on 13 Nov 1761 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. William's will was probated on 11 May 1762 in Edgecombe County. William had ten known children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina.

Raiford Kent, son of Nelson Kent and Mourning Eatman, was born 7 March 1810 in Nash County, North Carolina. He married Celia Pridgeon (1816-1876), daughter of Hardy Pridgeon, in about 1835. He died in 1872, probably in Clarke County, Mississippi. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Texas.
