Description
Charles Pritchard was born in England in 1783. He married Ann Newton (1785-1854) on March 5, 1805 in Derbyshire, England. Charles and family emigrated from England to the United States some time between 1818 and 1820. They settled in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and later moved to Ohio. Charles died in 1841. Descendants lived primarily in Ohio.

Roger Prichard (ca. 1600-1671), and his wife, Frances, with their three children, immigrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, probably from Wales, no later than 1636. Frances died at Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1651. Roger then migrated to Milford, Connecticut, where he married 2) Elizabeth Prudden Slough, a widow and daughter of James and Sybil Mitchell Prudden, in 1653. They had two sons, 1654-1658. Roger Prichard (ca. 1600-1671), of Welch ancestry, his wife, Frances, and their three children, arrived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1636. They family was living at Wetherfield, Massachusetts, in 1640, and at Springfield, Massachusetts, by 1643. Frances Prichard died at Springfield in 1651. He married 2) Elizabeth Prudden Slough, widow of William Slough, in 1653. They established their home at Milford, Connecticut. They had two sons, 1654-1658....

Frederick J. Pritchard was born at Camanche, Iowa, in 1874. He received a Dorctor of Philosphy degree at the University of Wisconsin in 1910. He and his wife, Selma I., had a daughter and a son. The son died in 1926 at a young age. He was noted for development of several tomato varieties. He died in 1931 while seated at his desk in the Bureau of Plant Industry in Washington, D.C.

Joseph Pritchard Sr. was born 1681 and later became a mariner captain in Philadelphia. He married Susanna Tailor 7 July 1719. They were the parents of a son named Joseph II. Susanna died in 1723 and Joseph married Sarah Scutt 6 August 1724. They were the parents of a son named Joseph III. Joseph Sr. died in June of 1746 in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania. Descendants of Joseph Pritchard Sr. lived primarily in Pennsylvania.
