Descendants of Field Pruitt, Sr. (ca. 1750-1820), who was born in Virginia, and married (1) Mary Burke, daughter of Patrick Burke and Elizabeth Keeling, ca. 1774. They had five children. He married (2) Hannah Hull 1808 in St. Clair County, Illinois. Descendants live in Kansas, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, California and elsewhere.
