Jonathan Purdy (1693-1772) was the fifth son of Joseph Purdy and a grandson of Francis Purdy who settled in first in Massachusetts and then in Fairfield, Connecticut. Jonathan was born in New York and eventually married Mary Hart. They were the parents of nine children. Their many descendants live in New York and other parts of the United States.

Azor Betts was born in 1740 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He married Gloriana Purdy (1747-1815) in 1764 in White Plains, New York. He died in 1809 in Digby, Nova Scotia. Gloriana died in Saint John, New Brunswick. Contains their history and includes family group sheets and a descendancy chart. Descendants live in New Brunswick, Québec, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere in Canada and the United States.

Gilbert Purdy (1721-1778), son of David Purdy. He married Mary Durland (1734-1813) ca. 1755. His ancestry is traced to Francis Purdy who emigrated from Yorkshire, England, first to Concord, then to Fairfield, Connecticut, about 1640. Descendants lived in New York, Ontario, Minnesota, Ohio, Iowa, California, Ohio, and elsewhere. Includes Holmes, Kniffin, Underhill, Merritt, Waterbury, Whitehead and other related families.

John Palmer married Mary Teed (1791-1863) at Wentworth, Nova Scotia. They had nine children. Covers approximately 1300 of their descendants. Descendants live in Nova Scotia, and also in Massachusetts and elsewhere in the United States.

Stephen Canfield (1754-1841) was born in Bedford, New York. He married Mary Bertice Pierce (1755-1830) about 1776. In 1781 Stephen joined the Westchester Loyalists. The family settled in Nova Scotia in 1783. Descendants live throughout Canada and the United States.

Balthassar Becker was born in 1604 in Amsterdam. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Ohio and elsewhere.

Thomas Hunt was born in about 1617 in Keyston, Huntingdonshire, England. He emigrated in 1637 and settled in Boston, Massachusetts. Descendant, Samuel Hunt, was born 3 June 1735 in Dutchess County, New York. He married Margaret and they had eight children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Oklahoma.
