Jonathan Purdy (1693-1772) was the fifth son of Joseph Purdy and a grandson of Francis Purdy who settled in first in Massachusetts and then in Fairfield, Connecticut. Jonathan was born in New York and eventually married Mary Hart. They were the parents of nine children. Their many descendants live in New York and other parts of the United States.

Azor Betts was born in 1740 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He married Gloriana Purdy (1747-1815) in 1764 in White Plains, New York. He died in 1809 in Digby, Nova Scotia. Gloriana died in Saint John, New Brunswick. Contains their history and includes family group sheets and a descendancy chart. Descendants live in New Brunswick, Québec, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere in Canada and the United States.

Gabriel Purdy (1754-1841) of the 5th generation was the son of Samuel of the 4th generation. He married five wives: (1) Charity Purdy, (2) Esther Angevine, (3) Elizabeth Richardson, (4) Esther Knight and (5) Ann Aitkins. He was the father of between fourteen and seventeen children. He joined the British at the time of the Battle of White Plains. He left for Nova Scotia, Canada in 1783. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given.

Kajetan Zalewski (1850/1-1929) was born in Poland. He married Lucya Kopiczko in 1876 or 7 and they probably lived in Janowka, Poland (then occupied by Russia). They had ten children. Members of the family immigrated to the United States between 1900-1910 and settled in Mt. Carmel and Atlas, Pennsylvania.
