William Rabb was born 21 December 1770 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. His parents were Andrew Rabb and Mary Scott. He married Mary Smalley in about 1789. They had five children. They migrated to Indiana Territory in 1803, to Arkansas in 1818 and to Texas in 1820. William and Mary both died in 1831 in Fayette County, Texas. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Texas.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Rachel Rabb and Joseph Newman. Rachel was born 17 January 1790 in Fayette Co., Pennsylvania. She was the first born and only daughter of William Rabb. Joseph was born ca. 1787. He married Rachel Rabb 12 June 1806 in Warren Co., Ohio. They lived near Austin, Texas and were the parents of five sons and five daughters. Descendants lived in Texas, California and elsewhere.

Wolfert Kouwehoven came to America in 1625 from the Netherlands. His descendant, John, and wife, Lydia Covenhoven were married in 1752 in Middlesex, New Jersey. They came to Virginia in 1781 and purchased land in 1782 in what is now West Virginia. Many descendants went by the surname "Crownover". Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, California, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and elsewhere.
