Joseph Randel was born May 27, 1765 in Pennsylvania. He married three times, but information only given on second wife Rebecca Roberts, daughter of John Roberts. She died in Kentucky between 1813 and 1826. He died November 25, 1841 in Montgomery County, Indiana. Descendants appear to be mainly from Indiana.
