James Cyrus Taylor (1809-1888),the son of John and Nancy Cunningham Taylor of Rockbridge Co., Virginia, married 1) Elizabeth Baskett and 2) Elizabeth G. Reid (b.1821). He settled in Shelby County, Kentucky and Lincoln County, Missouri. Several generations of descendants are given.

Jeff Donald Raney, son of Ezra Preston Raney (1890-1967) and Emma Davis Woolley, was born in 1910 in Yantis, Texas. He married Birdie Mae Palmer, daughter of Emery Chilton Palmer and Sarah Willie Way, in 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He died in 1988 in Dallas, Texas. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.
