Biography of Richard Rawlinson who was born 3 January 1690 in London, England. He was the son of Thomas Rawlinson and Mary Taylor. Richard attended St. John's College Oxford, England and recieved the degree of D.C.L. He lived his life in England but never married. Richard died in the year 1755 in England.

Albert Sloan Hales, son of Albert Hales (1865-1920) and Emma Elizabeth Sloan (1877-1930), was born in 1904 in Deseret, Utah. He married Rachel Lucile Roper, daughter of Abel Mosley Roper and Rachel Rawlinson, in 1940 in Manti, Utah. They had four children.

Henry Thomas Kirby was born 5 May 1835 in Chalfont-St.Giles, Buckinghamshire, England. His parents were Joseph Atkins Kirby and Ann Barnes. He married Annie Goodman and they had four children. Annie died and he married Emma Susanna Teesdale Potter, a widow, and they had four children. They emigrated in 1883 and settled in Junction City, Kansas. Ancestors and relatives lived mainly in Buckinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

Joel Woodward Rawlinson was born in 1822 in South Carolina. He married Jane Springs Moore in 1841. They eventually moved back to his South Carolina plantation. His grandfather Benjamin fought in the Revolution War. The family's fortune was greatly diminished after the Civil War. The material in this book covers short sketches of his father and grandfather and give more coverage of his life and his descendents.
