Thomas Wyatt and Elizabeth Redman had three daughters who married three sons of James and Charlotte Stratton. Thomas Wyatt Redman was the founder of the family of Halfway House Farm, Benacre, Wiltshire. Descendants and relatives were closely associated with the Farm for many generations.

John Redman (ca. 1655) of Westmoreland County, Virginia is the earliest known Redman ancestor. He was the father of three sons, one of whom was John Redman (b. 1667) who was the father of two sons. Descendants fought in the American Revolution and later moved west to Kentucky and Indiana. Some of their descendants traveled further west and eventually settled in Washington state and California.

John Lewis Godfrey Nethers (Gottfried Neütre) immigrated from Germany to Virginia in 1755 or 1759. He was the grandfather of Nathan Nethers (1807-1890), who moved to Ohio. Descendants lived in Virginia, Ohio, South Carolina and elsewhere.
