William Jacob Reese (1864-1938) was born in North Carolina to Franklin Barsey Reese (1821-1901) and Linia Mahala Deal (1823-1897). He descended from an early German emigrant named Joseph Peter Riess who immigrated to America in 1753. William married Mollie Green Sipe (1879-1973) and they became the parents of nine children. Descendants live in North Carolina.

Andrew Reese was born in 1893 or 1894 in Westville, Oklahoma. His parents were Joseph L. Reese (1861-1950) and Ida May Whitmire (1873-1935). Sometime after 1750, Benjamin Butler of Virginia moved to Newberry County, South Carolina. Benjamin was the father of at least one son, Aaron Butler (1770-1831). He married Jane Pitts and they were the parents of Moses Butler (1794-1879) who was born in South Carolina and later lived in North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Reese and they were the parents of twelve children. Descendants live throughout the United States.
