Johannes Aurandt (b.1725) immigrated to Philadelphia from the Palatinate via Rotterdam in 1753 with his wife, Anna Christina and four children. They settled in Cumberland County, Penn. where four more children were born, Christina died and Johannes married again. Includes the lineage of the author, lecturer and radio commentator of ABC news, "Paul Harvey", (born, Paul Harvey Aurandt). Includes some family history and genealogy to 1550.

Johann Kaspar Gruenwald, son of Johann Kaspar Gruenwald and Anna Elisabtha Schauerman. was born in 1723 in Gross-Felda, Hesse, Germany. He married Anna Katharina Eissfelder in 1744 and they had four known children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Russia, Nebraska, Colorado, Idaho and Oregon.

Christian Amend, son of Johann George Am End and Anna Margaretha Kempff, was born in 1727 in Wildensee, Germany. He married Anna Margaretha Damm (1727-1754) in 1751. They had two children. He married Katharina and they had one known child. He married Anna Margaretha Mueller and they had six children. He died after 1798 in Frank, Russia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Russia, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Washington and Alberta....

David Shoemaker (1785-1855) was the son of Anthony Shoemaker and Elizabeth Hamacher, the daughter of Adam Hamacher, Sr. of Mt. Joy Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. Later, they moved with their family to Lurgan Twp., Franklin Co., PA. He married Elizabeth Minnich (1788- 1878). They were the parents of nine children. The family moved from Lancaster Co., PA in 1835 to Miami Co., Newberry Twp., Ohio. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given.
