Joris Dircksen Brinckerhoff (ca.1604-1661) married Susanna Dubbels in 1628, and emigrated from Holland to Brooklyn, New York in 1640. Descendants (spelling the surname Brinkerhoff or Brinckerhoff) and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin and elsewhere.

Minne Johannis (d.1689) married Rensje Feddes and immigrated in 1663 from The Netherlands to Flatbush, Long Island, New York, and after her death, he married widow Magdalena Henrixe in 1689. Descendants used the surnames of Minnes, Minnens, Minnelaj, etc., which has now been anglicized to Minnerly, and the descendants listed lived chiefly in New York.

Robert Livingston (1654-1728) emigrated from Scotland to Albany, New York in 1673/1674, and married Alida Schuyler in 1679. In 1686, he received a grant for the Lordship and Manor of Livingston (originally 2,000 acres along the Hudson, expanded later to 160,000 acres). John S. Messenger married Ruth Rhodes, daughter of Hope Rhodes of Jamaica, Long Island, on 2 Jan., 1799. John died 8 April 1823. Ruth Rhodes Messenger was born in 1777 and died 17 June, 1838. Abraham H. Hendrickson was born ca. 20 May 1773 and died 18 Feb. 1841. He married Elizabeth Ludlam on 11 Jan. 1797. She was born 24 Sept. 1776 and died 25 Feb.1838.
