Alexander de Resseguier was born in about 1650 in Trescleoux, Dauphiny, France. His son, Alexander Resseguie, was born in about 1693 in France. He married Sarah Bontecou, daughter of Pierre Bontecou and Marguerite Collinot, in 1709 in Norwalk, Connecticut. They had seven children. He died in 1752 in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, New York and Michigan.

Jacob Carpenter was born in England, He immigrated to Washngton County, New York during the French and Indian War (1750-1760). He had four known children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York and Michigan. Includes Elmer, Hooper, Parish, Resseguie and related families.

Alexander Resseguie (d.1752) settled at Norwalk, Connecticut in 1709. "Tradition has it that he was the younger son of Alexandre Resseguie, a Huguenot refugee from France ..." Descendants lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and elsewhere.

Richard Johnson (ca.1792-1839) married Sabina Longthorn and had eight children, five of whom immigrated from England to Racine County, Wisconsin. Descendants and relatives lived in Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa, Colorado, Washington, Nebraska, Georgia, Texas, Virginia and elsewhere. Includes Johnson and Dyball ancestry in England to about 1700.
