Description
Richard Denton was born in 1586 in Yorkshire, England. He married Helen Wendlbank. They had seven children. Richard was a non-conformist minister. The family immigrated to America in 1635 and settled first in Massachusetts, then Connecticut, and finally on Long Island. Richard returned to England in 1659 and died in Hempstead in 1662. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas and elsewhere.

John Miller (ca. 1750-ca. 1819) was born in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. In about 1780 he married Margaret Bretz (ca. 1762-ca 1825), also of Lancaster County. After the birth of their first son in 1801, the family moved to Perry Co., Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived in Ohio, Illinois, Colorado, Alaska, Michigan, and elsewhere. Ancestors came to America from England and Germany.
