Alexander Dyer (1790-1856) was born on the ocean when his parents, David and Sallie, emigrated from Ireland to Tennessee. He married Mary King. Thomas Hazen Merrill lived in Fort Lawrence, New Brunswick in 1788 and married Sarah Ward. His grandson, Marriner Wood Merrill (1832-1906), was born in Sackville, New Brunswick. Marriner joined the L.D.S. Church and moved to Utah. In his later years he served as an Apostle in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
