Johan Michael Fischer (1701-1785) emigrated from Germany and settled in southeast Pennsylvania in 1733. He and his wife had at least five children, 1734-ca. 1742. He died in Alsace Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants spelled their surname Fischer and Fisher. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Iowa and elsewhere.
Includes the Krape, Riegel, Walker and other related families.

Matthias Riegel emigrated from a Rhine province, sailing from the port of Rotterdam in 1732 accompanied by his wife, Maria, and two daughters. They settled on Saucon Creek in Lower Saucon Township, Bucks Countery, now part of Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Matthias married 2) Catharine Leydi or Leigh in 1757. The first provable and direct Hankins New Jersey ancestor is Thomas Hankins (ca. 1706-1745). He married Mary Clevenger (ca. 1710-ca. 1745). The first Harris ancestor in America was Robert Harris (b. ca. 1660) . He married Dorothy Wylie and later immigrated to America with his family about 1717.

Bernhard Shertel was born in about 1708 probably in Switzerland or Germany. He emigrated in 1732 and settled in Pennsylvania. He married Ursula Hefler (1710-1794) 5 April 1737. They had four children. Grandson, Philip Shartle (1774-1823), married twice and had eleven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, California and Oregon.
