Description
George Antis, Sr., of German lineage, moved from New Jersey (via Maryland, Pennsylvania and Kentucky) to Knox County, Indiana in the 1790s. Some of his children and their families remained in Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Indiana descendants often spelled the surname Anthis. Descendants lived in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.

Elias Laster, son of James Laster and Sarah, married Mary War Nan Johnson (1838-1918), daughter of Thomas C. Jeansonne and Elaisa Steen (1818-1859), in 1854 in Troy, Tennessee. They had fourteen children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Louisiana and Tennessee.
