Family history and descendants of John C. Harris born abt. 1806 in Tenn. of Samuel B. Harris and Mary Coots. John married 1827 in Hardeman County, Tennessee to Savilla Thompson who was born 1810 in Kentucky. They raised 13 children, some were born in Tennessee, others in Missouri and Texas.

Joseph Clark (1720-1778) married Joanna Fairchild, and lived in Middletown, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Colorado, California, Washington and elsewhere.

William Fuller was probably born in England in 1625 or earlier. He was was living in Virginia by 1650 and moved to Maryland in 1651. He married Sarah Martiau, daughter of Nicolas Martiau (1592-1657) and Jane, in about 1651. They had four known children. He died in South Carolina in about 1682. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina.

Ancestral families and relatives of Mrs. Mary Nelson Smith. She was born in 1825 on the Nelson homestead in Craven County, North Carolina, the daughter of Edward Nelson, Jr. (1803-1841) and Sarah (Sally) Roach (1805-1867). She married William Henry Smith (1820- 1885) of Pitt County, North Carolina, in 1846. They had twelve children, ca. 1847-1868. She died in 1907. Descendants lived in North Carolina and elsewhere.

James Terry was granted land in St. John's Parish, King William County, Virginia, in 1701. He later migrated to Halifax County, Virginia, then Orange County, North Carolina. He died between 1775, when he wrote his will, and 1779, when his will was proved. Richard Williams was born 24 September 1692 in Marion, Pennsylvania. He married Margaret Eaton in 1717 in Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. They had seven children. He died in about 1795 in Loudon County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and California.

William Dixson (ca.1688-1751) and his family, of Scottish lineage, emigrated from Ireland to New London, Connecticut in 1719, moving to Colchester, Connecticut later. His son, Charles Dickson (d.ca. 1779), and his family immigrated to Horton Township, King's County, Nova Scotia during or before 1761. Robert Hamilton, son of Robert Hamilton, was born in 1812 in County Down, Ireland. He married Jane Carroll (1813-1902), daughter of James Carroll and Nancy Wallace, 29 July 1837 in Killinchy, County Down. They had eight children. Robert died in 1854.
