Caesar Rodney, signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware, was born in Dover, Delaware, 7 Oct. 1728, a son of Caesar Rodney and his wife, who was a daughter of Thomas Crawford. He died in 1784, unmarried.

Jean Paul Jaquett the emigrant of the family and progenitor of all the Jaquetts came of a Huguenot family settled in various parts of France and Switzerland. He was born in the early 1700's probably was born in Neufcha^tel. He left his birth place and went to Holland were became identified with the Dutch West India Company.

Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of John Conrad Carkner who was born ca. 1763 in Albany Co., New York. He was the son of Wilhelm Kirchner (or Carkner) and Christina Harmsen. John married Virtue Lord sometime prior to the year 1786. They lived in Ontario, Canada and were the parents of three known children. Descendants lived primarily in Ontario, Canada.
