Description
Joseph Klaers was born August 28, 1826 in Malmedy, Rhineland, Germany. He married Luzia Goergen (1831-1896) in about 1856. They immigrated to the United States in 1857 and settled in Independence Township, Minnesota. They had seven children, three of whom survived to adulthood. Joseph died May 24, 1904. Descendants and relatives lived in Minnesota, Michigan, Florida, California and elsewhere.

Ernst W. Röhl (1864-1922), son of Ernst F. Röhl (1836-1911) and Henriette Thieme (1833-1902), was born in Berlin, Germany. He married Mary Ann Caldwell (1870-1937). They had three children. He died in Shelton, Connecticut.

Chiefly a record of William Huston following some descendants to Emerson Huston. William was born in 1763 in County Tyrone, Ireland. He married ca. 1792 in Ireland. In 1844 he immigrated with his daughters, sons and some grandchildren to America. They settled in Indiana. Emerson Eugene Huston was born 18 Apr 1910 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He married Virginia Roehl. Emerson died Feb 1977 in Minneapolis, Virginia. Emerson was the father of six children....

Description
Nicholas Roden was born in 1818 at Schonshoekar near Nachtsheim, Germany. He and his wife, Anna Maria Thelen, and children, immigrated to the United States in 1853, and settled in Illinois. After her death, he married 2) Mary Hoffman. They had at least seven children. The family migrated to Albertville, Minnesota, ca. 1865. He died at Ostego, Minnesota, in 1888. Descendants listed lived in Minnesota and elsewhere.

Three children of Ferdinand Goetche/Goetsch/Gates, Sr. immigrated with their families from Pommern, Germany to America between 1856 and 1883. Other relatives came too, and most of them settled in Marathon County, Wisconsin. From there descendants migrated to Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Virginia and elsewhere.
