Edward Spaulding was the first of the family came to America in the earliest years of the Massachusetts Colony, probably between 1530 and 1633. He first appears in Braintree, Massachusetts.

Rollin L. Clayton, son of Wallace Lee Clayton and Dorothea Fidele Morgan, was born in 1938 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Moses LaBean was born 31 August 1825 in Canada. His parents were Easton LaBean and Sophia. He married Margaret Dufrain (1829-1906) in 1847 in Potsdam, New York. They had six children. Moses died in 1892 in Potsdam. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York. .

Rudolph Haller and Anna/Mary Meyer, both natives of Switzerland, arrived in America on the same ship in March 1853. They were married later that month at Greenwich Village, New York City. They had eight sons, 1853-1870. The family moved from New York City and settled in Leeper County, Michigan, shortly after the birth of the first son. Rudolph, Mary and the youngest sons moved to Bad Axe, Michigan, ca. 1885. Rudolph and Mary died at Bad Axe....

John Rollin was born in Eastern Canada in 1802. He married Percilla (Betsey) Jon Deau who was born in Canada in 1805. Their children, Charles, Priscilla (Marcelina), Ezra, Peter, Sarah, and Fannie (Anna) were all born in Canada. The family later moved to Potsdam, New York where most of them remained.
