This genealogy follows the publication of The Maryland Descendants of Christian Rupp, 1732-1810, which traced the descendants of the five children who moved from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to what is now Carroll County, Maryland. Fredrick Roop was born about 1765 in Pennsylvania, and died in 1831 at Union Township, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Abbott (1773-1841) about 1791. Nineteenth-century descendants lived primarily in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana.

Lafayette F. Griffith was born 27 April 1821 in Genesee Co., New York. He married Cynthia Bradley 1855 in Churchville, New York. They moved to Lafayette, Indiana prior to the year 1870 and later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota sometime after 1881. They were the parents of four known children. Lafayette died 7 December 1897 and was buried in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Descendants lived primarily in New York, Minnesota, Arkansas and...

John W. Milford (1876-1945), son of John and Elisabeth Milford, immigrated with his parents from Wales to Pennsylvania about 1881, and settled in Carroll County, Ohio about 1885, moving about 1896 to Akron, Ohio. Descendants lived in Ohio, Michigan, Nevada, California and elsewhere.

Henry Rupe was born in about 1765, probably in Germany. He married Catherine Barbara Null in about 1782 in Maryland. She was born in 1768 in the Netherlands. They had fourteen children. Henry died in 1845 in Montgomery County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Virginia, Indiana, Texas, Utah and elsewhere.

Family history and descendants of John Lester I (1751-1825), who was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and died in Montgomery County, Virginia. He was married to Catharine Plick (Blickensderfer) (1759-1833) in about 1775 possibly in Fincastle County, Virginia. She was the daughter of John Blickensderfer of Germany.

David Furnish was born in 1805 in Suffolk, England. He married Mary Caroline Davis in 1832. He died in 1888 in Spencerville, Indiana. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
