Joseph Beers (1783-1851) and his wife, Martha Landis (1784-1867) were the parents of five children, 1815-1828. The family lived in Fayette Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. The parents are buried in the old Koons Cemetery, Bunkertown, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed, chiefly those of their oldest son John Landis Beers (1816- 1900), lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
