Richard Denton was born ca. 1605 in Yorkshire, England. He married prior to 1624 but the name of his wife is unknown. Richard immigrated to the United States with his family prior to 1636 and was a minister in the Presbyterian Church. He preached at Stamford, Conn. and Hamstead, Long Island, New York for fifteen years and died ca. 1663. He was the father of seven children. Descendants lived primarily in New York and elsewhere.

Alila May Miller was born 25 May 1881 in Miller Place, Long Island, New York. Her parents were Samuel Hopkins Miller (1853-1937) and Alilah Young Tillotson (1857-1936). She married Nathaniel Tuthill 24 February 1909. They had three children. Traces her Miller ancestry to John Miller, who died in about 1650 in Southampton, New York.

John Jepson (1610-1687) appeared in Boston about 1638, possibly with a wife and child. In 1656, he married Emma, widow of John Coddington. They had at least seven children, 1657-1673.
