He came to America abt. 1714/15 and settled in Nottingham Twp., Chester Co., Pa., where he met and married Mary Cook (d. aft. 1718), daughter of Neal Cook, ca. 1715. Both died in Shenandoah Co., Va. Thomas Kidd, son of Thomas Kidd and Margaret Nuccoll, was born in 1716 in Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland. He married Margaret Sorlie in 1741. They had three sons, John, James and Henry.
