Ruth Ward, created in 1936, was formerly known as Ruth Branch and was a local unit of the North Weber and Nevada Stakes.

Ann Jones was born in Wales. She brought her family to America before 1824 settling in Pennsylvania. Her maiden name and husband's given name are unknown. Information on several lines of her descendants are included in this volume. Today many of her descendants live in North Dakota, Iowa, and other midwestern states. Includes Jones, Morgan, Ruth, Sheppard, and related families.

Hans Weyerman (died 1746) immigrated to Pennsylvania, apparently from Switzerland, in 1727. His wife Anna and some children seem to have accompanied him. Altogether, they had seven children. They were Mennonites, and many descendants live in Pennsylvania.

The early Bugbee ancestor, Edward Bugby, was born in England ca. 1594. He came to Boston, Mass. in 1634, and settled in Roxbury. The early Ruth ancestors came to Maine, and Connecticut from Ireland. Rev. James Keith, was born 1643 in Keith, Scotland. He came to Boston in 1662, and died in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
