Elam N. Burkholder was born (likely in Pennsylvania) 14 August 1883. He was the son of Levi W. Burkholder and a descendant of Christian Burkholder who immigrated to America in 1754. Elam married Anna W. Martin 5 October 1905. They lived in East Earl, Pennsylvania and were the parents of ten children. Elam died 18 November 1942 in New Holland, Rhode Island. Descendants lived primarily in Pennsylvania, Colorado and elsewhere.

The Hershey family originated in Appenzell, Switzerland with a later move to Freidelsheim, Germany. Ira L. Hershey (1868-1940) married Sarah R. Kreider (1871-1947). Hershey ancestry is traced to Christian Hershey who died in 1733 and his wife, Ada. Kreiders are traced to Jacob Kreider (1681-1741) and his wife, Elizabeth. Few localities are given.

William Notcot (d.1573) probably moved to Wrington, Somerset County, England, where he married his wife Agnes. Lawrence Winkler was born in Prussia in 1771. He immigrated to New Jersey about 1795. He married Fannie Payne about the same time and together they moved to North Carolina. Peter Ansel was born 1 April 1712 in Maichingen, Germany. His parents were Michael Ansel and Catharina Beuttler. He married Anna Margaretha Schaller in 1742 in Eschelbach, Germany.
