Thomas Joyner, Sr. (1619-1695) was born in England. He immigrated to Bermuda in about 1635 and later moved to Virginia and the North Carolina. He was the father of five children. Descendants settled in Georgia. The Ryal family descends from Joseph Royall (1600-1658) who was born in England and immigrated to Virginia in 1624. He and his wife, Katherine Banks, were the parents of five children. Descendants live in Georgia.

Daniel C. Ryals (1816-1890) was born in Emanuel Co., Georgia. He married Molly Gill, daughter of Thomas and Mary Gill, in Columbia County, Florida, in 1841. They had four children. He married three more times and had twelve other children. Descendants lived in Florida and elsewhere. Includes Sanders, Summeralls, Boyette, Tucker, Turner, Miller, Whitcomb and other related families.

Alexander Avera III, son of Alexander Avera II, was born in 1736 in Craven County, North Carolina. He married Sarah Folsom (1740-1816). They had ten children, probably all born in Averasboro, Cumberland County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina.

After extensive research, the author published a 3-v. work entitled "Birch, Burch family in Great Britain and America," which "Birch, Burch ..." work contains most of the genealogical data about that surname. This Burch--Harrell work refers to the Birch--Burch research, but does not re-print or re-publish it. Thomas Willcox married Elizabeth Cole. They emigrated from Devonshire, England and settled in Delaware County, Pennsylvania in 1718. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

Robert Aiston and Sarah Malvina Leete were married in Batavia, New York in 1844. Their ancestors had immigrated from England to New England as early as 1639. Malvina also married George Allen about 1863. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived in Connecticut, Michigan, New York, Illinois, Iowa, Utah, California, Idaho, Texas, Washington and elsewhere. They include members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

John McHenry was born between 1760 and 1765. He married in about 1780 and had ten probable children. He died in 1826 in Monroe Township, Adams, County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Missouri, Minnesota, Texas and Oregon. Includes McElroy, Medak, Ryals, Smith, Watson and related families.

Henderson Alonzo Fowler (1805/1806-1866) married Harriet Falkner in Orange County, North Carolina, and moved to Rolling Prairie, Arkansas in 1852. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois, California and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario, Québec and elsewhere in Canada.
