George William Salter (1853-1880) died while serving with the U. S. Navy on duty at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Salter of Washington, D.C., and had earlier graduated from the law school at Georgetown College. His father, Edwin Salter, had earlier been a congressman from New Jersey, and later accepted a government position in Washington, D.C.

Aime Perrenoud was born 28 April 1793 in Les Ponts de Martel, Neuchatel, Switzerland. His parents were Daniel Perrenoud (1747-1815) and Marie Charlotte Petterman (b. 1763). He married Susanne Neely in April 1825. No children have been identified, however, Daniel and Marie had 9 children. Aime died 22 July 1872 in Carondelet, St. Louis County, Missouri. Relatives have lived mainly in Switzerland and Missouri.
