William McBrayer was born in 1696 in Scotland or Northern Ireland. He married Rebecca and they had five children. They emigrated in about 1735 and settled in Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and California.

Thomas Hilley was born 26 April 1754 in Goochland, Virginia. His parents were Francis Hilley and Sarah Dawson. He married Mary Walker Bond, daughter of Nathan Bond and Elizabeth Ballenger, in about 1772. They had ten children. He died 22 March 1838 in Heard County, Georgia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, Arizona and California.

Hamilton Buell (1811-1872), son of Samuel Buell and Polly Dunham, married Eliza Dodge in 1831 and moved from New York to Waterville, Kansas. Descendants lived in New York, Ohio, Kansas, Texas, Indiana, Arkansas, Illinois, Idaho, Oregon, Colorado, Missouri, Washington, California and elsewhere.

George Snyder (1755-1840) settled in Dauphin County and married Catherine Amenn. They became the parents of seven children. Descendants live in Pennsylvania, New York, Florida and other parts of the United States.

Alexander Canedy was born in about 1650 in Scotland. He between 1714 - 1718 in Plympton, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. He married Elizabeth Annable, daughter of John Annable and Anna Whipple. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Vermont, Pennsyvlania, New York, Illinois and Minnesota.

Phillip Huggins was born in North Carolina about 1765. He married twice, to Jane and later to Elizabeth English. He was the father of over 20 children. The family later moved to Arkansas. Walter LaFayette Bell (1889-1976) was born in Butterfield, Missouri, son of Jonas Bradley Bell (1843-1931) and Martha Ann Cooper (1865-1890). He married Ruth Rankin (1900-1975), born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, daughter of James Lewis Rankin (1854-1928) and Mary Elizabeth Dawson (1860-1912). David Jacks, son of Nicholas Jacks and Jane (?) was born 27 October 1795 in Surry County, North Carolina. He married Rachel Johnson, daughter of William Johnson and Mary Parks, 16 June 1821. In 1827, David and Rachel, their son Thomas Mastin Jacks, and daughters Alzena and Jane Jacks, moved with other members of the Jacks clan to Jackson County, Alabama.
