William Carr (1597-1672) married Susan Rothchild in London in 1619, and in 1621 they emigrated from England to Plymouth, Massachusetts, moving to establish what became the town of Bristol, Rhode Island in 1622. Amos Worthen was born 1 January 1746/7 in Hampstead, New Hampshire. His parents were Samuel Worthen and Mehitable Heath. He married Hannah Bartlett 22 November 1769. They had eleven children. Amos died 28 April 1828 in Enfield, New Hampshire. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New Hampshire, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.
