William Sanderson, son of Thomas Craig Sanderson (1813-1862) and Isabella Blasel, was born in 1839 in South Shields, Durham, England. He married Isabella Jane Young (1842-1928), daughter of Edward Young and Christiania Hornsby, in 1865. They emigrated to New Zealand in 1876. They had eleven children. He died in 1909 in Mangapai, New Zealand.

Joseph Gutman was born 18 December 1869 in Augustow or Krasnopol on the German-Russian border. His parents were Judah Geitner (b. 1847) and Rifka Cohen (b. 1845). Joseph Sanderson was born in Massachusetts in 1714. His parents were not married but he carried his father's name. In 1732 he married Ruth Parker and they had 12 children. Information on their descendants and possibly other Sanderson lines up to about 1875 are included in this manuscript. In 1875 their descendants lived throughout the eastern states and today probably live throughout the United States.

John Sanderson (b. ca. 1760) was born in Earlston, Berwick, Scotland. He married Ann Haig and they had one son, James (1789-1861). He married Agnes Long and they had nine children. Their descendant, David Sanderson (1885-1962) immigrated to the United States in 1907, settling in Chicago. He married Eliza Baird and they had three children. They later moved to Iowa.
