Description
Richard Currier (1616-1686/1687) emigrated from England to Salisbury, Massachusetts about 1638, and married twice (probably once in England). Descendants lived throughout the United States. Some descendants immigrated to Canada, and lived in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and elsewhere.

The Sargents are believed to have come from Bath, England as there are records of Richard and Katherine (Stevens) Sargent married November 22, 1602 in the Abby Church. Richard Sargent was born ca. 1576 of Bath, Somerset, England. Katherine Stevens (Steevens) was born ca. 1580 of Bath, Somerset, England. The children were: Elizabeth, William, and Joane.

John Sargent was born in 1814 in Newbury, England. He married Ann Allen (b. 1809) of East Woodhay, England in 1834. They had five children. After Ann's death, John was baptized into the L.D.S. Church in 1850. He and his family immigrated to the United States. John and one son were killed in 1852 in a steamboat accident in Missouri on their way to Utah.
